It's spelled out pretty clearly on MotorDyne's website. Did you read the product descriptions on there yet?

Generally, the 1/2 inch spacer will yield more power up top while the 5/16" spacer will give you more midrange power.

Unless you are a track only car get the 5/16's, it has more useable power

If you look closely at the graph the 1/2" spacer will give you more HP through
out the RPM range! (that's why I installed) Down side....you'll lose the OEM
engine cover. (no longer fits) Now you'll have a chance to have another mod!

That's kinda why I went with the 3/8" PL spacer, the thickness is between the 5/16 and 1/2.

On another note, I noticed on MD's webpage he has knocked the prices down on the 5/16" quite a bit

According to your signature you already have the 5/16" spacer installed, so
why are you asking questions about other size spacers/covers?

LOL gez man can a buddy try something different. IDK man if there are more gains in a different spacer then hey why not give it a shot. if the 1/2'' is better than the 5/16'' overall then why not switch

twin001 Aug 26, 2008 04:50 PM

To be honest with you, you won't feel the gains over the 5/16" spacer. Stick with what you have. If you want to try something different that will give you more power then get a nitrous setup, or get a UTEC or Osiris.....based on your mods in your sig.

Da_ReD_G Aug 26, 2008 04:53 PM

VERY true i been debating how much wet or dry or even if i should spray. iw as told that vq should stay wet

twin001 Aug 26, 2008 04:57 PM

my350z.com has a few threads on nitrous, you should check that out.

SteveBlake Aug 26, 2008 06:12 PM

Yea if you're gonna do nitrous only get a wet kit but you'll also need a purge kit and maybe a bottle warmer. But if you do go with nitrous you NEED to get your car tuned for it!

But just FYI, i have a Turbo XS utec and the gains are NIGHT and DAY.

We can't possibly explain it any better than MD's very own website. You should try reading it when you have the time.

I would suggest the 5/16 spacer. But it seems that you already have it :confused2:
