Intake & Exhaust Questions and info regarding various aftermatket exhaust systems for the G35 (Headers,Y-Pipes, and Cat-Back Systems)

Is there anything special I need to install hks exhaust?

I just bought mine and I'm going to install it at home. Thanks for the help

would be helpful to have another set of hands to help you align the mufflers. I installed my HKS this past weekend and one of my exhaust tips is not centered properly... best thing to do is to have someone else help you adjust and center the tips in the cutouts while you tighten all the bolts. just a thought....

Hks Install....!

If you have the opportunity to rent time on a lift that's the easiest way. But
if you don't you'll need WD40, 4 Jack stands and a jack. You'll find all the
bolts and gaskets needed to install the HKS exhaust system in the box. Chances are that it will take you longer to remove the OEM system than to
install the HKS. They really have a well engineered system that goes together easily....read the instructions. (I never do....LOL)

I torque wrench, would be nice to have. Other than that, reinstall your ground wire, it's there cuz the exhaust is so close to the fuel tank.

Certainlly need a good jack, I put a hole in my bois driveway when I was doing an oil change, thats how damn heavy the car is..
