under the hood vs out the rear
hey all,
quick newb question for you pros.
If I am to replace my stock intake with a pop-charger/ztube, will I lose my oh-so-sweet exhaust tone due to the increase in the air taken in, with no change to where it is essentially coming out?
sorry if this question is lame, i just rather enjoy the rumble of my G, but would like a little more from under the hood as well.
THANKS

You bring up a good point because what makes the stock exhaust unique is some of its subtle tones.
The pop charger is fairly loud. Or at least its a lot louder than the stock air box.
I had a stillen air box on my sedan but eventually removed it. There was nothing wrong with it at all, but due to the long tortuous commutes I had to do in clogged up freeway traffic, I eventually noticed that it was a bit too loud. (at least for long daily commutes)
For most applications its not too loud but maybe my experience was different from most. A daily 3-4 hour stop&go commute was probably more at fault than anything. Now that I don't have to do that horrible commute anymore loudness is a good thing!
Anyways I digress. You may like the sound of the pop charger. It adds a completely different kind of tuner sound that you may like.
