For those who've installed a k&n

Did you notice any difference in either power or revs?

I just did mine and was suprised to see that I did feel a difference- seemed to rev faster and pickup better. I was kinda sceptical when I saw that dyno giving just a k&n filter +5rwhp, but after testing it before and after install, i did notice a difference so I would have to say it may just have gave that much (as opposed to on my old mustang, where i didn't notice any difference at all in the pull)

For the G, does anyone know if you have to stick on the two foam rubber gaskets that come with the filter or is this just for some of the other applications like the Maxima? I read some post somewhere that somebody was concerned that he didn't use the gaskets and thought there might be some leakage.

Re: For those who've installed a k&n

Attached to the bottom of the airbox is what Infiniti calls a 'resonator'. Anyone know what it actually does?

Also, I forgot to reconnect the harness connector from the MAF sensor prior to restarting the engine. After reconnecting, now my Service Engine Soon light is on in the dash and won't turn off. Anyone else had this problem? Will it go off after I drive around a bit? I think I read something like this in a previous post, but I can't find it.

Thanks for any responses in advance.

I think you have to have it reset by the dealer.

Re: For those who've installed a k&n

You can try disconnecting the battery. Some around say 12 hours, I'm not sure if it takes that long or not.

I disconnected the battery earlier hoping it would reset. I'll see by tomorrow.

Re: For those who've installed a k&n

Well, the >12 hour disconnect didn't reset the light. I take it I need to use a Consult II to do it?

Anyway, does any one know what that 'resonator' attached to the bottom of the airbox does? Just curious.
