They will void the warranty if they can prove the exhaust / intake caused the problems. As for suggestions, everyone has their own opinions on what kind of sound they like. With that said, my preference is:

intake = Z tube with JWT popcharger
exhaust = HKS

You'd be safe with Stillen for both intake and exhaust if you're worried about your warranty.

I have Stillen intake w/z-tube and Fast Intentions exhaust. It rules.

Intake + Exhaust + Mrev2 + 5/16" spacer + Osiris made it quicker, not considerably quicker. that's what the Vortech is for.

Of course it's cost effective, the above mentioned mods will give you an
increase of 30+ RWHP....not bad for less than $3K. Then if you decide to
go with the Vortech (which will kill your warranty) all the above mods will
be needed anyway....less the intake.

That all depends on how you define cost effective. If you're strictly installing an intake and exhaust hoping for a noticeable increase in performance, then the answer is probably no. In my opinion, the real value comes from the style you gain by having a deeper tone to your car.

just my 2c
