Question Thinking about different mufflers. Thoughts?

When we built my exhaust I was trying to keep it as quiet as possible. Now I don't mind it being louder because I am not happy with the looks.

I am thinking about changing out my mufflers for either the HKS Carbon Ti or the Injen Ti.

Please answer this like it was your car and your money to spend.

*I don't expect any performance gains from this mod*

The HKS mufflers are ~$600 for the pair. The tips are ~1" larger than the current ones I have and the mufflers would hang down a bit lower.

What would you do?

1) Keep the existing magnaflow mufflers?
2) Get the HKS carbon Ti?
3) Go with dual Magnaflow 5x8 oval mufflers, each with dual 3" tips.

Here is the car currently with the 5x8 Magnaflow mufflers and 3.5" tips:

Here are the HKS Carbon Ti Mufflers that would cost me $600 plus mods to install:

Here's a crappy P-shop at what the last setup would look like.

I've never been a fan of the "Ti" rainbow look. If it was me I would keep the same style tip rather than the other 2 setups. My preference would be a quad setup with th slash cut (same angle as the Injen or like a Stillen). If your going to go with 1 of these other 2, I like the look of the HKS tip better.

Tim.. if it were my car and my money.. I would spend my dough on the better product. Aka HKS. They have such a great rep and sound amazing. Plus, the Carbon Fiber will tie in nicely with your engine cover and such.

I vote for the HKS muffs. They'll blend in nice at a distance and when you look up close, DAMN SON cf

Although, for some reason I do like the injen tip better, but the canister goes to HKS all day.

I guess I should have added dual muffler/dual tip to the choices. I have thought about going with oval mufflers with dual 3" tips on each.

They would be all stainless.

Thoughts?

Dual 3" tips would look more like OEM and I might be doing that myself in the future. The Ms have dual tips and it looks very good.

I think the HKS would look ugly under your car since they are round instead of oval shaped like the Magna ones you have.

But I think it's better to leave the exhaust the way it is. I like it. It has a serious look about it instead of the toy-looking HKS and Injen.

that would be the classiest and cleanest setup. dual/quad 3" would be sick. I like the stainless better than the ti. Plus it's more or a sleeper look. I guess you're way past the sleeper look tho.

+ 1000 on the dual muffler with 2 tips each. I think the HKS/Injen canister look would not flow with the clean lines of your sedan.

^ The tips you had on the Borla exhaust are for sale and those look really good to me. They are very expensive though.
