headers and high flo cats

the cost and amount of time to install some people dont think its worth the time or money but everyone has their own opinions, as far as gains, out engine alone is pretty well tuned so most mods for our cars are minimal unless you go fi......then thats a different story

if you want to stay NA, like myself, then headers and HFC are a must to help you max HP. I currently run DC headers and Crawford cats with no issues and some decent gains. agree with others that to max gains on this highly tuned stock motor you need to go FI.
don't forget to get a U-Tech after you do all your breathing mods to pull it all together and realize those gains in HP. good luck!

i did have a factory turbo on my audi yes....but im confused here...so i have some saying i should get a reflash after all mods but some saying get it after all mods are done. which should i do. i also heard headers dont do a whole lot and are a pain to get in. and where do i go for a reflash for my ecu...can i do it myself or professionally done
A couple of questions:
What year is your car?
How much are you willing to spend?
What kind of transmission do you have?
I would do:
-Motordyne 5/16ths or 1/2inch plenum
-Motordyne Test Pipes -they will be out soon-(check local emissions laws first) > HFC's (if emissions laws are strict, or if you don't want the gas smell)
-Cat-back (buy the new Motordyne exhaust when it is fully released or buy the y-pipe and couple it with an 05/06 mid-pipe and add the rest later.
-Z-tube
-Amsoil dry filter (drop in filter, no oils so no risk of ****ing up the MAF)
Those are easy and common mods, after that I would do the following:
-Headers
-Tuner (Osiris/Technosquare/AAM/Cobb AccessPort(if the damn thing ever comes out)/UTEC)
If you are still not happy:
-New FD (get a 3.9)
-New VB if you have an auto, or a LTW flywheel with a grippier clutch
Also, I hear that Motordyne might come out with an air intake, so get that when it comes out. Otherwise, all CAI and short rams lose power on our cars. It's a fact. They are only good for sound.

hmm...i put a short ram in and it actually felt like it picked up a lil more and i love the sound of my exhaust stock thats why i think high flows would be the best..headers i heard dont do a whole lot esp for all the work it takes to put them in. and i think i will jus do intake, high flow cats, and 5/16 spacer then get a reflash.
