Exhaust question

I'll be installing a new exhaust this weekend, and I have a question regarding the removal of the stock exhaust. Since the exhaust is hung by the hangers (all 3 of them) at the rubber bushings, do I need any special tools to pull the hangers out of the bushings? What's the procedure to easily remove the exhaust? I've heard it takes less than 30 min to remove and install the exhaust.

Unbolt the exhaust, spray a little WD-40 inside the rubber hangers and pull it off.

Sometimes the rubber is a little stubborn, so you'll need to shoot the wd-40 inside the grommet and work it loose

I replaced my stock muffler with an HKS rear section and it was super easy, like stang said the grommets are the only stubborn part. Nothing special needed, just muscle.

+1 to what everyone said. I've replaced the whole exhaust on my sedan (except y pipe) and onlu advice you need is to spray the living crap outta the bolts with rust remover or wd-40 and let sit for at least 10 minutes. It will make the job go MUCH easier.

As far as removing the rubber gaskets. Once the exhaust is off the car, you are able to work with the bushings much easier and just shimmy them off. Using wd-40 will help a lot too.

Thanks for the prompt and detailed answers guys. I have cans of PBC Blaster and WD-40 so I'll make sure to use them come time to remove the exhaust. I look forward to what will hopefully be a relatively easy install job this Saturday. The exhaust going in will be the HKS rear section (paired with the 05-06 sedan midpipe already on the car) so it'll be time to open the sound on the G more!

PBC lube is awesome for stubborn bolts.

Have fun with the install.
