EXACTLY what I was going to say. Unless you are trying to extract the last bit of HP out of an SC install, they are not worth the $$$ and PITA. You will gain 2-3 hp max and very little change in sound.

Still.... It's a waste of time and money that's better spent elsewhere. (sways, shocks, Coil overs, MREV, 5/16 spacer, etc.)

EDIT: is see by his sig that he has done all that, so.... knock yo' sef out boy!

I went with nexus/alphawerks headers. They worked and fit good.

Are the oem HR headers easier to install vs aftermarket sets?

The installation is not difficult. It just takes a lot of time to remove stuff and putting it back on.

It's the same for all headers doesn't matter if it's OEM HR or not.

Is there a big HP difference between, lets say DC Header and OEM HR headers? If there is, maybe 1 to 2 HP? DC Headers run around $750.00 vs $120.00 for OEM...Huge cost savings, if Im going to do it, might as well save some cash and learn what a PITA its is. Like i said in another thread, Nissan put those headers on there for a reason. Big difference in HP/TQ numbers on an 03 vs 08 motor. Before I get blasted, I know the headers aren't the only addition to the HR, I'm sure its 1 of a few upgrades that Nissan did to the motor. Just my opinion.

I like my nismo headers probably just because they're nismo

Along with my catback nismo exhaust, nismo sways, and little nismo trinkets...

I'll agree though that with the nismo headers I noted no noticeable gains although not dyno proven.

I'm thinking about finding some TPs soon to go along with all that stuff and so I should be good to go soon.

headers overall dont give u much of a horsepower gain.. plus wit the hassle of installing them and high costs ur better off for buying a few mods wit the money that would normally go to the headers.. although i want headers myself..

just my two cents.. otherwise go crazy

Headers....NOT!

I wouldn't even consider headers until you've added other improvements like
MotorDynes MREV2 and 5/16" spacer. Tony guarantees these two will give
you no less than 15+ RWHP and more since you already have the intake and
exhaust....this is the best bang for your $!

OK, so are you saying with the mods I already have, (see my sig) I will only see gains if I add both headers and HFC's? For example I am looking at a Stillen Header and Stillen HFC combo.
