Experimenting with my exhaust....
So, I recently installed the Stillen TD Gen 2 exhaust on my '05 G35 6MT Sedan. The tone is nice, but not really loud enough. My old POS custom Magnaflow (previous owner had made) was a LOT louder, but in an annoying way. So, I got an extra set of stock cats and hollowed them bishes out. It was a pain, as there are two catalytic sections in them, one ceramic and one metallic. But, I think I'm pleased with the way it turned out and I have ZERO restriction in my exhaust now. The Stillen has two HUGE resonators in them... It's relatively new (I bought it used for a month or so) and I wonder if the tone or noise level with change any as it breaks in more?
Well, enough blabbing. Here are some before and after videos.
Let me know what you guys think...
Before: Stillen TD Gen 2 w/ OE cats

After: Stillen TD Gen 2 w/ hollow OE cats

They're an extra set. And, I like how they're braced with the OE bracket. Also, no check engine light and I don't have to worry about a stupid "fix" to keep it from coming on.
sounds good i have the megan racing resonated test pipes and i have had them for about 5k miles and no check engine light.
heres my sound clip with my megan racing axel back:
