Another story about an Injen
WAddup! I took some pictures, sorry it's with an old MVC diskett using camera, but thought I would share.
I got really bored and just felt like ripping the stock intake out,
Then I pulled the bumper off.
I got mad and threw it!
but to my surprise I found this
Ya right I wish.
after about 2 hours of playing around this is what I got.
After this washed my hands and jammed on the freeway. Ran into an Accord and just paced along the side of him. I guess he didn't want any . I got off then back on a couple times. Was enjoying the smooth responsive throttle. Drifted a through a couple intersections. Went home and thought, I didn't feel anything with the CAI. went back into the garage and spent 20 minutes pulling it back out and putting the stock intake back in.
You believe me it's crap right? Can't wait till later, I'll post my props and hp results if all goes well.

Re: Another story about an Injen
I forgot.
I have some items for sale
I don't know what to do with these. Are there supposed to be so many left over .
the bottom right 10 and the top left 4 are pretty much all the screws and pops you need to get the bumper off. In the wheel well you'll have to remove 2 more screws that hold the bumper up and 3 pop rivets per side.
total screws to take off the bumper = 14
total pop rivets = 10

Re: Another story about an Injen
LOL, yes I'm being sarcastic. It's a very nice system. Fits in good. I think I mentioned good pedal response. The engine feels smoother and I think this does help with millage. I was watching the leaf when I drove and it never went below 20mpg when just cruising through town. It sounds great! At high rpm you can hear the engine growl deep. When shifting there's this high pitch sucking kind of like a small turbo spooling up. I think someone mentioned that.
I really did take the system out though.

cool man, that spinning sound is from the conical air filter, its sucking in swirling air like a tornado.....i love when you turn off the engine, you hear the spooling sound come to a stop, its pretty neat, im sure its good for 10HP at least
Man that engine growl at high rpm is really intoxicating, you may be watching the leaf when on the highway, but when you are on the city streets, you will have the pedal to the metal always, trust me! gotta love cai (in most cars)

Yesbitch you have to take the bumper off to remove the plastic air defuser and this small foam piece. Also you need to place the filter. Later on when you go to clean the filter you just need to take off enough bolts for the bottom tray to fall down.
Rumble - lol that's my brother in laws GSX. that thing will run laps around the G. I don't know what the heck he's done but his room looks like a parts store. rebuilt turbos, piping, rods and pistons, valves, springs ..... everything you can think of. that's the 3rd GSX he's had. The first one flipped, 2nd one was a used POS so now everything is being transfered over to this 3rd one.
