The MD spacer is great and while you're at it do the MREV2 as well.

You can read all about it on the Motordyne website, but generally, the 5/16 spacer will give more gains in the mid rpm range while the 1/2 spacer will give better gains in the upper RPM range.

And the low to mid gains with the 5/16” is less than the 5K-6.5K gains with the ½”

As with several other mods – with all else equal, it is very doubtful that anyone would know the difference just from driving whether they had a 5/16” or ½” spacer on their car (other than possibly audible)

I'm a fan of the 1/2" spacer. It was a good improvement everywhere over the 5/8" spacer.

Anyone do a comparison on the Power Labs 3/8? i felt like i had some gains, but it might have been a placebo effect

Look (*Obama voice*), I'm probably the most critical guy on this site when it comes to modifications, and I can say without a doubt, Motordyne's products perform as advertized. It is extremely uncommon to find aftermarket products that perform as advertized. More importantly, you get a product that is backed by company that polices the forums to make damn sure people are happy with their product. I don't know of any company that is run like Tony's and I'm on a lot of different automotive forums. You truely get what you pay for when buying MD products. The findings from this dyno test are no surprise to the most critical member of G35Driver.com.

Guess it seems like my question has been answered with which Spacer to get...
Will be ordering a 5/16 MD Spacer hopefully in the next few weeks!

Question about MREV2 and 5/16" Spacer

Hey, I have a 2006 G35 Coupe (RevUp) and I live in CT

I keep reading different things about the MRev2 and spacer as concerning the RevUp engine, do you have to install both at the same time, or can you just install one, and if so which one can be installed safely without the other? Can I just get the spacer and install it without the mrev2, and if so how much Hp gain will it give me, vs installing the spacer and the mrev2, and vice versa (install mrev2 without spacer). Eventually I will probably install both, but I was wondering if I could install just one initially.

Also, I know that since I live in CT I have to get the copper 5/16" spacer.

You'd be much better off just installing the MREV2 than the spacer, but you will get the full benefit from installing both.

Just installing the spacer is not likely to benefit you very much on a revup. You need the MREV2.

You don't have to get the copper iso thermal, you just need to remember to keep the bypass valve open during the winter when temps get lower than 32* so that the throttle body doesn't freeze. The copper is just a good way of not having to remember to open/close it.
