Yes you did! They were all from the interior though so I am just curious as to whether it would make a considerable difference in tone with an aftermarket y or hr y. I have quite a bit of rasp in mine at like 2500-4500 rpm. This is me shifting at about 3-3500 i think.

Sounds good man.. Minus that bit of rasp of course.. Ditch the test pipes and that should resolve it.

Personally I'm not big on them.. You could always go with HFCs or ART pipes "might" reduce some of it but according to some of the others guys on here.. Do some browsing there's many different theories out there if you decide you want to keep them

I want this exhaust but I think with headers, y pipe, and hfc its gonna be a tad too loud and raspy. I think it is because its a 3" exhaust with one small resonator. I think a good brand 3" resonator would quiet the exhaust down alot.

Vibrant Performance makes some good resonators and so does magnaflow.
Vibrant has two types standard and ultra quiet. If I had test pipes I would probably get the ultra quiet, since I have hfc and the the exhaust has one resonator already. I think I could add a 12" or 18" long resonator to knock some of that rasp out.

Can anybody take some measurements around the staight section after the first resonator, that goes under the rear stabilizer bar. Looks like a 12in long resonator should fit.

So many people like vendors or people from webistes are saying it WONT fit on an X is this true? Some people on here says it will fit an X but a majority they say it doesnt. I have a 05 g35x sedan and I love the sound of the catback and I want it really badly!!!

think about it. What does an X have that a rwd sedan doesnt? front axles and front transfer case. Neither will affect a y pipe back exhaust. So yes it will fit
