Re: GReddy EVO II Exhaust Arrived!

ok - my impressions:

WOW! When I first pulled up to pick my car up I was very shocked at how different it looked from the rear - much more aggresive w/ the dual canisters & large tips (and also the debadging was done today) - I was even more impressed when I turned the key for the first time and heard that deep rumble - it was great! there's still a little bit of rasp from the test pipes, but it is less noticable and lower in pitch due to the increased resonation... When you get on it now, it sounds so powerful it makes you think it's faster than it really is... but there definitely is a noticable kick in the butt that I feel now as compared with stock - I wish I could have done a baseline dyno so I could see what kind of actual results it put down - the car feels stronger throughout the rev range, most notably in the mid-to-upper RPM's...

Overall, I am very pleased and I feel that the looks/sound/gains are well worth what I spent on it... Thanks again to Mike at RevHigh for the great service and super-fast shipping... I am definitely a happy camper!

Re: GReddy EVO II Exhaust Arrived!

I had my EVO 2 installed this morning too. And, yes, you can tell a major difference! I ordered mine from 350Z OnlineStore. Their invoice says RevHigh Online, though... hehehe.
One thing I've been concerned with is the amount of heat coming from the tips. I don't think they will burn or melt my bumper, but man they are hot! I heard that once all the oil inside the pipes burns off, the temps will come down...

Re: GReddy EVO II Exhaust Arrived!

I really can't help w/ any of those requests (I have no idea how to post a sound clip & I never did a baseline dyno) - but I am going to dyno after I install my Kinetix plenum, just so I can see my results thus far... But, I have done some runs w/ the GTech Pro Comp before the install & I will do some after runs and average all of them and give you my take on the results... I can tell you my best thus far has been a 13.956 (slowest being a 14.3 - with all mods except exhaust) but the speed was way off @ 108 mph! Those numbers were all averaging a 2.2-2.3 60' time, so if I could get that down, we're talking some pretty good numbers for an automatic!

BTW, my best track time has been a 13.970 @ 101.3 w/ 2.0 60' time on worn out drag radials from a 'stang... I didn't have the pulley or grounding kit then... After my plenum install & w/ new drag radials, I hoping for 13.6 @ 103... I guess only time will tell...

Re: GReddy EVO II Exhaust Arrived!

Looks like you have to remove the underbody spoiler that normally sits behind the stock exhaust. Don't go too fast, you're probably not "zero lift" anymore .

The mid pipe mufflers look awfully close....notice any rattling yet?

BTW, I get high readings on my G Tech as well and I suspect it's due to the gradient. I only get the high reading in one direction, on the way back it's lower....ex. 104 going one way, 98 coming back. Note any winds as well which will have more effect than you think as you get faster.
