z-tube + k&n drop in

is this a good combo. I was going to get the ztube+jwt pop charger. but since i already have a drop in i was thinking of just getting the z tube. which combo would be better performance wise.

your not going to notice much with any intake, the jwt may give you a louder sound but you will get some heat soak...im running the k&n/z-tube set up and see no need to change

Best combo=

06 Revup Airbox +zTube + K&N Airfilter

Best for:

Highest Gains (bc the Velocity Stack)
No heatsoak
OEM Reliability

my injen cai netted me 5 whp over the stillen i had installed, never did a baseline with the oem one though... to me its all about looks/sound on the intake...

i do stand behind my injec cai though... it sounds really nice, people ask if i have a supercharger sometimes due to how loud the whistle is

be careful with the K&N, while its really popular here, it does allow more airflow but allows less filtering at the same time, might not notice it in the short run but will definitely notice it in the long run.

dude... go with an AMSOil Ea Efficiency Dry drop in filter.. no oiling to mess with.. does an excellent job of filtering and I've seen 3-4 MPG's over the OEM filter to boot!

It works well with all the intake mods everyone is "hot for teacher" over on this thread!

I was just going to mention the Amsoil EaA filter, but I certainly didn't get 3-4 more MPGs with mine. Your old filter must have really been clogged.

I also use an aFe Pro Dry S filter in my truck; has gotten good reviews on BITOG.
