i was wondering what to do, because i bought and installed resonated test pipes and they sounded great with my stock exhaust. i then bought magnaflow and it sounds like a damn civic, cant stand it. the system uses the stock y-pipe and i was wondering do i replace it and see how that is or do i get rid of the test pipes for some HFC's?

 

Apparently you're stuck with the Magnaflow exhaust so your only option is
either installing your OEM cats or put out more cash for a set of HFC's.
Buying an aftermarket Y-Pipe would only increase the sound you hate,
if it made any difference at all....

ya i think im just gonna sell the test pipes and get some crawfords or berks..

 

Why not just go back to the set up that sounded so good and sell the magna flows? arent magna flows mainly for american muscle (V8)?

 

ya a friend with a Z has borla and loves it! i hate the civic rice can sound and thought if i got a magnaflow i wouldnt have it, kinda figured it would sound like and exotic (like the borla).. im gonna try my stock cats and see how it is if not im gonna sell the magnaflow
