HELP. [pic inside] JWT Heatshield is a pain in the neck.

i'm having trouble with the rubber edge trim and heat shield. Instructions says that you have to install the edge trim to the original airscoop and the side of the heatshield where the hole is. How do i securely attach the rubber edge trim? It seems like i cannot securely attach the end of the rubber piece to the heatshield when it's rolled into a circle.

I've searched various DIY threads on here but could not find specific instructions for that step of the install.

(this picture was borrowed from one of those DIY).

Thanks in advance.

there should be 2 separate piece of edge trim

with one, you install it to the gold colored jwt heat shield (making it into an oval)

and then with the only you install it on the black plastic air scoop.

the simply insert the one on the air scoop into the one on the JWT head shield... kind of like they're having sex

does this help? i didn't really understand your question

Yeah, that does help and i completely understand what you're saying. However i've tried that and it doesn't seem that the rubber pieces attach securely; especially onto the black plastic air scoop because the edge of it where the rubber pieces slides onto is alot thicker unlike the heat shield where the edges are almost as thin as a knife.

actually i think i got it now. After searching some more, i came across another thread where the person was faced with the same problem as me.

Here are his pics and what i was talking about:

I guess it's normal that the rubber pieces don't fit as tightly and securly as i had it expected it to.
