Intake Wars

So I have a feeling I'm going to get flamed over this and a lot of the use the search function but honestly the search function isn't all that great when you have thousands of threads.

So basically, I want to upgrade my 2003 G35 5AT's intake. I have a drop in K&N currently. I want to put a ztube and cone filter setup.

So my question, what's the difference between the Stillen kit and the JWT Kit

They both have ztubes and cone filters so what's the difference. I don't want AEM or Fujita or any of those intakes. Are the cone filters regular paper filters or oil air filters? Which sounds better? Answers will be appreciated! Thanks guys!

The reason there are thousands of threads is because people don't search and start new threads; kind of like this one.

Both are oil air filter. I believe the stillen will be more beneficial because of it's airbox. The small little heat shield on the JWT can be inadequate to reducing heat soak. My friend has the JWT on his 350z and I have the stillen. You can't go wrong with either.

I believe the popcharger is ever so slightly louder but I really can't tell the difference. When I bought mine, it came down to the point of the stillen looking like OEM and reduces heat soak.

i like the ztube and popcharger sound....sounds really nice, has a good wistle but i do miss my injen, the nismo isnt really that loud..i can barely hear it over my exhaust lol... but any intake for a good price is good

Ahh great, another intake thread. I don't see how you cannot get the right amount information considering that this is the most commonly asked question, ever.

All I have to say is: JWT Pop Charger = More Heat Soak.

I would only ever go with a modified OEM setup or do the Stillen for the VQ35DE.

z-tube with amsoil ea drop-in...

get the motordyne plenum spacer and it'll help not only with sound but with across the board torque increase, albeit little but more than what intakes claim to net you.
