I've had my G35 for 2 months now but i never drove it yet (im deployed in afghanistan, come home in 35 days) well anyway i was wondering what the exhaust sound is in comparision to say a mustang?

There is a big difference in sound between a g35 and mustang. Words wont be able to explain it though.

 

The G35 has a deep growl with its stock exhaust sounds super sick

 

what bout the z tube and pop charger? do they change the sound?

First off Thanks for serving our country. the stock exhaust sounds very nice for a stock exhaust add High Flow Cats to it and it sounds amazing... a z-tube and pop charger will give you nice engine noise

 

If you want a very unique sound throw an injen intake on there...but its not as good as the z-tube/pop charger combo imo

mustangs sound like they are going to explode when you rev them up even though you don't go any faster... well v6's do and i'm just assuming you'd compare a v6 to a v6

i must say though a GT with an exhaust does sound alright
but even that isn't as good as a G

using words to describe sound is retarded haha

 

Infiniti's have a totally different sound that anything else on the street. I was sitting in a parking lot waiting for my wife and someone a block away started their G....I knew exactly what it was. My brain said, "Infiniti" and sure enough she was backing out of her parking space. Once you hear the sound of our cars you'll always know what it is....30 days you're short!

funny you say that. i have a buddy who lives on the other side of my block but about 10 houses around. i ran into him last week and he tells me that he can hear my car starting, shutting down and comming to and from everyday from about a full block away. i asked, "is it that obnoxious?!" he says,"no, its just very distinct. its a great tone!" "sounds very exotic and different"

left me with a little evil smirk the rest of the afternoon. ive never heard anyone say that they dont like our exhausts
