Kinetix V+????

Hey guys, i know this is probably a noob question, and I'm definitely kinda tipsy, but I have to know immediately! My lovely GF bought me a Kinetix V+ plenum for my birthday, and I opened it up, but it kinda feels like it's made of wood, and I kinda expected it to be solid metal. Am I tripping, or did kinetix by some chance rip her off?? Please let me know, and don't flame cuz I'm kinda drunk and a bit confused about this. It came in a legit kinetix box with all accessories and purchased from the website, so it seems legit. Please confirm so that I can calm down and slap this baby on and get more speeding tickets!!!

Its definetly a plastic of some kind. I think its made of a thermoset epoxy resin.
The resin may even contain glass fibers. Hence, I can see how it will have a flexaural modulus and hardness similar to wood, but in any case, its definitely not made of wood.

Alcohol sure can make things fun and interesting.

PS you have a good GF!

Don't mean to hijack your thread, but..

Could you use the V+ in conjunction with the Mrev 2 and Spacer you think?
