So my exhaust heat shields were rusted and rattling, scraping on the road... so I did what I thought would be best. Rip the damn things off! so they're gone now, I've noticed no change in performance, however after about a 40 minute drive (highway) on a relatively hot day, I noticed some loud ticking noise, like the sound of a really hot rad; so I get under the car in the parking lot and can see where the heat shields were the exhaust is real ****in hot...

now I know that without the shield there's gonna be extra heat from the road that you gotta deal with, my question to the experts here is, will this have any adverse effects to the car? I doubt any aftermarket exhaust has these heat shields, but lemme know if I need to get some replacement shields... if I do anyone know how much they are / where to get em? I dunno the part # even.

I'd replace them, but that's because I'm a little OCD about things like that. Contact Riverside on here and he'll set you up with a price.
