Need a little help choosing....

I currently have a 2006 G35 coupe 6mt.

It has:

MREV2 lower plenum, 5/16 spacer ($240.00), K&N/Ztube combo...

I find that it isnt really loud enough. It doesnt even sound as loud as my old mazda 3 2.3 with fujita intake when I give it some. Now the exhaust is a completely different story...way way nice. However, I want to make it a little bit louder..should I scrap the z-tube/k&N and get a CAI (fujita...or the like)-would that really make a difference in sound? I have read quite a bit on this stuff and it sounds like I would not gain any horsepower at all...maybe even lose a little (which I dont mind as long as I dont notice it)---but if it sounds much better, I would be into it. Any input would be appreciated...

I have even read a bit about Y-pipes....should I go that route? I would like to keep the same exhaust tone as well.

Thanks!

Yep. Should I scrap the z-tube/k&N and get a pop charger...or should I get an Intake??...or should I just keep the current setup and get a y-pipe or something

An HR Y-pipe will keep the same tone and make it a bit louder. It's cheap too.

Fast intention HFC and exhaust should make just loud enough for you.

The guy who had the car before me had a fast intentions exhaust on the car...too loud for me. I just want something in the middle between that fast intentions full exhaust and the stock. Should I go y-pipe or do the intake/popcharger stuff?

How about the intake first, then a used hr y-pipe after. It might take a while to find a low mile, cheap y-pipe, so you can save up in the meantime. I picked mine up for $75 off an 07 350z with 3k miles.

Get the popcharger, it's VERY loud at high RPM (louder than my FI exhaust), and with the other mods you have it'll be plenty of noise for you.
