XYZ and VQ

Was wondering on how the sound quality is with the XYZ pipe for motordyne with the motordyne VQ for an axle back. I want to remain as close to the stock sound as possible (quiet) I would like to make this car a sleeper so I still want the gains.

I have the resonated XYZ and the VQ (y-back) with the resonated midpipe and the muffler. Its def. louder than stock and sounds way better in my opinion.

I also have headers and HFC though. If I didnt have those I'm sure it would be about the same as stock.

Trust me when I say this...YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED with the Motordyne. Tony does top notch work!

The XYZ pipe is like the big brother to the HY Y pipe. If you're on the stock exhaust, you owe it to yourself to try at least one of these.

If I were still running my stock at the moment, I'd try the XYZ pipe to see how it sounds in person. I've already had the HR-Y pipe on stock exhaust so for me, this would have been the next logical progression

Check on youtube. You should find some Motordyne clips to hear for yourself

The XYZ is already ordered just waiting for tony to get them back in stock then it should be on my door step. I already looked on youtube i couldn't find any sound clips of what I was looking for like just the VQ axel back and no XYZ and VQ combo

Here is my car with the xyz and vq exhaust. In this video i have test pipes. The 1st revving vid is with the resonator the second is with the straight pipe. Just a little rasp with the straight pipe, but not much.

My car is the G35 in Tony's MD exhaust video.

The vid at the track is with the straight pipe and a BPI flowstack intake with my other mods.

I now have headers and to me it really didn't change the sound.

my exhaust is loud to you? I guess with stock cats it would be even quieter than stock. Remember the vq exhaust is 3in and so is the outlet of the xyz pipe.

This is as quiet as you can get for a 3in exhaust for the g35 compare it to the other 3in exhaust for loudness with test pipes.

Here is a vid of the vq exhaust on a 350z with test pipes compared to the shockwave remember this is the same car. The only difference is the exhaust. The last vid is stock. Hope this helps with what you are looking for.

The VQ is the quietest aftermarket exhaust around.

To me, its quieter than stock. Even with test pipes, if you were to hear Dereks car in person, it almost sounds like something you would hear on a Mercedes or BMW.

Its definetly a quiet exhaust.

my car is a sleeper. Nobody believes it has a 3in exhaust with tps and runs 13's because it's quiet.

you won't be disappointed. check out this vid of my car starting at 6:31. If you have cats instead of tps it can only get quieter.
