Seems like theres alot of threads bout the motordyne install but i couldnt really find the stuff i wanted. I got the coper iso thermal spacer btw.

I havent received anything yet but it will be here next teusday so i figured i would ask now. When installing the iso thermal part, i know we have to oil it up, what kind of oil should i use? same oil thats used in my car?

Also for a torque wrench my friend has one that looks SOMETHING like this:

it IS in inch/lbs, but im just wondering if these are accurate or crap? Would i be better off going to like autozone and renting one from them?

The torque wrench should be fine. As far as the thermal gasket goes you can use the same oil in the car.

 

Ok imma have to pick up some oil then lol

torqueing everything back together is the part that scares me haha ive heard so many stories about the bolts snapping and it scares me

 

I used regular engine oil (same oil to do oil change) when installing the iso-thermal gasket. As for the torque wrench, I used a 10mm nut driver and tightened the bolts down until snug. I figure the nut driver is more useful for work on our cars than the inch-lb torque wrench.

 

There is no reason to be scared. You won't break any bolts. When you tighten you only want to go until its snug and then like 1/4 turn more.
