Anybody know the size of hte MAF adapter from the AEM and Nismo CAI? Looking to see if it is larger or the same size as the stock MAF housing.

Thanks!

it's the same as stock (I think) I know the injen tapers down to the stock size then back to 3in.

I think with a 3in maf housing the car won't run right you have to get it tuned. Z1 sells 3in maf housings I'm just waiting for some free time for FT to tune for mine.

Thanks for the reply. I actually bought the Z1 3" maf but i'm trying to see if anyone sells a kit that actually would come with something larger then the stock. The only CAI that i found that bolts on to the stock MAF housing are the AEM or Nismo. If i really can't find anything then my last resort is to machine my JWT.

You actually need it to be a bit bigger than 3", but I know you know that. The jwt stack is 3", but you need to bore it out about 4mm to have it sit flush with the z1. I am still looking to have mine done, but just haven't gotten around to doing it yet.

Yeah I finally bought it today from Adam. I just put in an order for a new differential with 4.08 FD so i took adavantage of the situation and bout one since it's only $100. That should be an exciting upgrade, will also get a retune to chance some valve timing for my cams and also with the new MAF. We'll see how that goes.

I almost bit the bullet on a 3.9FD, but I just couldn't convince myself that I won't turbo the car.

That was really the only thing that was stopping me as well, but i've decided that if i do go FI then i'll SC it, which will still make the higher FD useful.

I drove a much lower powered VQ35 (less then 30whp and 20wtq) with a 3.9 and it felt much faster then mine... Probably is until we are up in the higher RPM range and shifting. The time to redline is so much quicker. I'm sure I'll enjoy it and you would to if you got it.
