JWT pop charger worth the money??

Can anyone give me an honest answer as to whether the JWT Pop Charger is worth the investment?

I have a 2005 G35 Coupe Rev Up and have the OEM Z-Tube installed with a K&N Panel filter.

I was going to order the JWT Pop Charger, but I don't know if its worth the money now that I already have my current setup...

Can anyone chime in?

i wouldn't pay full price for a new one. find a used one in good condition and i'd get it.

but what's worth it to one person may not be worth it to another. all depends on how you value it.

+1 to everything Cal said.

I bought a used one in great condition for under $100. I love the way it sounds.

apart from the sound tho, is there any performance gain over the K&N drop in and z-tube that I currently have? will it make that big of a difference in sound?

if its just sound, i'd probably opt out as I prefer the stock exhaust note over the intake noise.

110 shipped is the vendor price which is great, but I'm wondering if its really worth it compared to my current setup. What would the benefits be to going to the pop charger?

^What he said.

BTW, I have my pop charger paired up with a z-tube. Looks good, sounds great, but no noticeble HP gains. I've actually heard that you lose some power (1-2 HP) at certain RPM's with the pop charger. I'm sure a K&N drop-in filter will do just as good, if not slightly better than the pop charger.

lol thanks. That's what I needed to hear. I'll look at getting the MREV2 instead and putting that 110 towards that.

btw, where did you find it for 110 shipped? that's a good deal (if you're looking to buy new).

I bought one off a vendor here for the same price ($110). I can't remember which one though. Hated it and sold it in less than a month. To each his own I guess....

definitely worth it if you can get it used. the sound is awesome and it looks nice too

and i didnt lose the sound of the stock exhaust (when I had one), so I'm not sure what you mean by that...

Remove the over-radiator snorkel and the PowerDuct cover and that's pretty much what the POP charger will sound and perform like. And when I say "perform", I mean ingesting hot air and reduced throttle response from idle to 5000rpms.

The pop charger is louder than just removing the power duct and snorkel on the OEM airbox.

Have you tried it? Don't forget, the RevUp motors use a higher flow lower intake manifold which influences induction noise (lowers the sound). The standard VQ35 has a much deeper growl, especially with the Z-tube and RevUp airbox. However, I dumped my Z-tube.
