? about plenum

I just bought the car and went to the dealer and was asking about this mod and he said he wouldnt recommend it, but something that they make for the g35 that is similar. I am looking at the Motordyne one. Just wanted to know what you guys thought of this. As I am trying to learn about the car and doing alot of reading. It has an intake and grounding wires 2004 g35 5at. Thanks

The MD spacer is one of the most common bang-for-the-buck mods for the VQ engine. EVERYONE on here will reccomend it!

rev up is the motors on 05+ 6mt g35. the biggest differance is higher hp and a higher redline than 03-04s. you dont need the mrev if you have a 03-04

since you dont need the mrev, you should look into getting your ecu reflashed along with spacer whichever size spacer you pick. uprev's osiris is popular but there are others out there too, try searching the forums

If you are going to get the computer reflashed do all your mods first and then have the computer flashed so it can take advantage of all the mods and you are paying for the flash once.

+1...do all you motor mods before a flash/tune. just having a spacer doesnt warrant a flash/tune. at least have spacer/intake/exhust/hfc or test pipes

Either way, you'll need a retune, and you still don't need 5 maps. Having 5 maps is good for say, one for stock, one for daily driving, a 100 map for track days, maybe another map for the test pipes, one for valet mode, etc...

I have an 06. So if I want to get the plenum spacer, I would also NEED to get the MREV2? I can't just get the spacer alone?
