Rev up lower plenum.. Will it benefit non rev ups?

Anyone know if a lower plenum off a Revup motor will beneift the non revup? I know the lower plenum from a non revup will give gains to a revup motor but how about vice versa?

It sucks bad. I've seen the dynos.
It loses power everywhere except the last ~600 RPM.

Just put a spacer on your nonrevup lower collector and you will be much better off.

Really? Thats good to know.. I'm actually looking forward to the 5/16th for the torque. I have enough top end.. Weird though, makes you wonder why nissan made a crappy newer lower plenum

Can I link to the 1cockyz build on my350 or will that get me banned? I recommend you hop on there, search his created threads, go to his build, and do some reading. It will show you unequivocally the benefits of the non-rev plenum. With that said I agree with Hydrazine.

The Revup plenum was matched to the higher flow and revving characteristics of the Revup motor which can rev 600rpms higher than the regular VQ35DE. Essentially the Revup plenum uses shorter intake runners to improve higher rpm breathing above 5000rpms. The problem is the shorter runner nueter low and mid range power. Due to slight variations in cam design and the usage of variable timing on exhaust cam, the Revup can utilize the revised plenum a bit better than the VQ35DE.

I can't imagine why it would be a problem. I post links to MY350Z all the time.

Both sites are owned by I.B..
