Not looking to thread jack but I'm searching for the same thing your looking for also..my buddy has an srt-4 stage 2 I like the way it sounds with just the Borla Muffler and back with tips. I know it's illegal but all he had done was have his cat's cut out and resonators put in. Has anyone done this? just like straight pipes?

Or if you want super loud go with the Motordyne Shockwave Single Exit!

Loud? Top Speed.. Throw some test pipes in the mix with that and you'll have the loudest possible aftermarket exhaust.

You could try going full true dual straight pipes. Even louder..

I once ran open header for fun... Never again.

I personally hate deep/throaty.. Maybe for the first 2K rpms tops.. If you get too deep/throaty you're pretty much destined for drone.

I had an 05 SRT-4 Stage 2 with 3" catted downpipe and Borla 2.5" catback. That was LOUD. You were catless which is DEAFENING. My boy was 3" catless and I couldnt even hear my car next to his.

The SRT and G35 are 2 different beasts when it comes to exhaust note. You wont get an SRT growl or pop with the G, but I understand how u feel about it being quiet stock. Narrow the choices down to what works for you. I recommend Fast Intentions or Motordyne. Clips are all over youtube.
