Nismo Replacement Air Filter

NISMO SPORTS AIR ELEMENT (WET TYPE)
Air intake resistance 30% decrease compared with normal

http://www.japanparts.com/NissanPart...Aircleaner.htm

Has anybody heard any perfomance gains with this? Anybody purhcased? I do not see a reason to change out the box and this filter looks just like the factory.

Re: Nismo Replacement Air Filter

well it says "wet type" meaning it has those oils that the K&N's have, if anything, the paper is probably 30% thinner than the stock intake...thats my guess though, not too many details on the site

Re: Nismo Replacement Air Filter

Nismo makes a wet and dry type. For some reason, they recommended the dry for my G35 sedan. The filter is a direct swap for the OEM so no filter box issues. I bought one. Easy installation. They would not provide performance increase info. They simply mentioned the same 35% increase in air flow you mentioned. Subjectively, it did seem to add more power, particularly in the low to mid-range rpm.
