So guys, about this drone issue, would having everything left stock and jjust adding this catback make the drone less? or is it just how this exhaust system is designed? Im interested in purchasing a used one for a friend of mine, maybe if any of you guys can help me out with that, would be appreciated =)
Responded. The drone is not terrible, what is terrible is the rattles in the car that the drone brings out. For example, my rear Bose speakers rattle at 1100+RPM. The rattling drives me crazy! I also have stock ypipe, headers, and cats.

The silencers make the drone none existent but don't really alter the sound of the exhaust at all.

so you have the silencers on or not? Also are there any additional things needed to put it on? I know if you buy one made for the z, you need some additional pieces for it to be put on a g35, also the tips sit a lil too inside of the bumper. You have all the necessary things for it to fit the g?

^ if you are talking to me then yes I have all necessary things for it to fit a g since it's on my g coupe right now lol. These exhausts can also fit on the first gen sedans with slight modification.

The one made for the Z and the one made for the G are exactly the same except when you order one for the G it comes with an extension that connects in between your Y-pipe and the exhaust's mid pipe.

The exhaust tips do sit behind the bumper a little farther then other exhausts and the the drivers side tip sits higher than the passengers side.

The above problems are a simple fix:
-I bought the titanium tips from topspeed and they look sweet and extended past my bumper now (so no meltage or black marks now)
-To lower either side of the exhaust you just torch the bend in the hanger and pull down on it

ok cool guys thanks for the info
Like i had mentioned to Harrison, it is for a friend of mine. I might've been interested in it but hes not looking to shell $500 for an exhaust yet so he will most likely go the muffler delete for now. Ive been lookin around the forums and have come across some useful info but i wanna see pics of an oem exhaust and where would the muffler bolt off of and how can exhaust tips be put in the back

do NOT do the muffler delete.. it is so raspy.. as you can see in the pic of my stock exhaust, i had put in a straight pipe.. and it was bad.. i was so embarrassed to drive it.

I have this exhaust on my '05.

Fitment is fine - although I didn't do the install so maybe it was a pain in the *** for them. haha. Personally i think the exhaust sounds great but I'm definitely on board with the drone issue, it gets annoying on long drives. Although, whenever I make long road trips I just put the silencers in and it completely kills and evidence of drone.

I just dropped $350 on second skin damplifier pro and luxury liner pro for the trunk and under the rear seat; I'm hoping it kills a good amount of the drone! I'd love to throw the silencers in the trashcan.. haha.
