Intake & Exhaust Questions and info regarding various aftermatket exhaust systems for the G35 (Headers,Y-Pipes, and Cat-Back Systems)

who knows of any good headers for a reasonable price???

who knows of any good headers for a reasonable price???

these megan headers for my 04 g35 coupe are $300 on horsepowerfreaks.com but i heard they are no good. then i found some strup headers for $40o, im new to buying performance parts and need some suggestions..HELP! please.thanks

There have been many threads on this topic. If you do a search you'll find out a lot, but you might get overwhelmed with results since there are a lot of threads.

Keep in mind that installation is expensive (~400), not the easiest thing to do at home. The gains are very marginal unless if you go with expensive ones. I've gone through it twice already. First with a set practically design the same as the Strup and secondly the Tomei V2. There were gains but the question is whether it is worth your time. Good luck.

so installation is pricey? and by high priced headers, your talking about $1000? i wil search threads on here. might take me a while since i just signed up for this site like 20 mins ago...and if you know of ANY performance upgrades for people on a budget..i would like to hear of some

Are you planning on getting the ECU reflashed? If not I would not waste your money as they will not do much without a reflash except make the car louder.

spend some time reading existing threads.... you're much more likely to get viable info that way - most people aren't going to re-hash whats been said many times over.

ive got megan longtubes(360.00 shipped and new)..however they arent on yet,and the only reason i bought them is b/c my motor is out so install isnt a big deal..im hoping for somewhat significant gains with my FI setup..the install calls for 8hrs..and with some knowledge id say that probably close..gl

I wouldn't waste your money on headers. You won't gain much for the cost, time, and effort involved. Save your money and spend it elsewhere.

Many threads as someone already stated, discuss this topic in much detail.

Megan Headers

I have a set of new in box Megan Racing Headers for 250 shipped I've installed one set of these it took me 4 hours and yes it was a little challenging to install but I love the sound and quality was good. Worth it 4 me.
