Berks HFC

So i've been doing a lot of research into HFC's lately (the mod bug bit me hard after the new year). Right now I only have the Stillen CAI and True Dual Exhaust, but i'm waiting on my MD spacer/MREV2/Osiris to arrive so I can get tuned. I wanted to complete the exhaust with a nice set of HFC's. A few of the members on here highly suggested Berks, but I read a few threads where people complained about high drone/rasp with a Stillen exhaust and Berks HFC's. Does anyone here have experience with that? Or have a Stillen exhaust with other HFC's?

You probably read my post then! Yes the Berk HFC's will make a DEEP drone at 18-2800 rpm. They do not rasp for me. Haven't figured out a cure yet other than waiting longer to shift into 6th!

Other than that they are awesome! Very noticeable power gain.
I believe MD is coming out with their own HFC's so you may want to contact them.

This may take more research but it's my understanding that you can't buy or install HFCs in CA. You might be able to buy them from an out of state source.... You could call Stillen and ask what they're doing 800-889 9043.

I ordered a set of berks from texas on the forum.. I don't think vendors are allowed to stock them in CA but you can get them shipped .

The Berks Tech factory is about 30 minutes north of where I live. I called them last week and they said I could swing by on Thursday or Friday of this week to pick them up. Also, Stillen stocks their HFC's (I bought my exhaust and intake straight from them). Stillen did tell me that they would not install them then let me drive it off of their property...that I had to have the vehicle towed, seeing as they are "For offroad use only".

Oh and it might help that my car is registered in Pennsylvania

May I suggest you also get gaskets! They don't come with any.

Nope, sorry - test pipes are not, will not ever, be a consideration for me. Personal preference.

That's strange that the Berk HFC's don't come with replacement gaskets. They didn't mention that when I called them. Maybe they changed it? I'll have to ask tomorrow.

they come with the new hardware, minus one stud on the headers you need to reuse with the stock bolt. just get the gaskets for the cat to y-pipe.

Well i picked them up today and they look purtttyyyy

All of the bolts and gaskets were included in the box and their customer service was great. They even set me up with a place to get them installed tomorrow for a pretty decent price. I. Can't. Wait.

Ditto! I'm running mine with my Fast Intentions Intimidator exhaust for 9K miles, 1 year and 0 complaints!

The drone is present around 1800-2100 PRMs but I learned how to drive/shift around it.

One plus...my 5AT MM shift skills are 110% better since I got my Berks lol

Post up a video if you can after you have them installed. The sound will be awesome

I installed mine today. Who says they don't come with gaskets? Mine came with all the hardware and both the header and y-pipe gaskets. They also shipped directly from Berk and I live in CA.

Bitch of a job, especially laying on your back in a parking lot with nothing but hand tools.

Sound is, well it's freakin loud. I have had my fast intentions exhaust for about a year and always felt it was a little understated. Not the case anymore. Now the car sounds like an F1. I like it but I have the feeling it may draw some unwanted attention from popo.
