Damage HKS Exhaust - Repairable or needs replacement?

So, I kinda damaged the two honeycomb parts of my HKS exhaust by scraping them on speedbumps a few times. I've been told it was the "flex pipe"? I was quoted 175$ replaced with different brand pieces (cut and welded back to the piping)

so my questions:
1) What are the cons of leaving these alone as is?
2) Is 175$ worth it to replace?

I dont have a picture of mine but it just looks hairy on the bottom

if you don't have any exhaust leaks at the flex pipes, I would just let them be.

+1 if there are no leaks, leave them. it's hard to imagine that anyone doesnt have scraped up flex joints.

What he said, everybody has their flex joints damaged, just face it.
