Best exhaust sound on a 06 6MT Coupe

hello all today i was next to a Carrera GT and it had a AWE Exhaust, Made my stock exhaust (Which i love) sound like a cricket!!!! lol

also a friend of mine has a 350z with an aftermarket exaust (bought it on the car) he has no clue what it is, and to me it sounds like crap, its loud which is nice but in the higher RPMs it sound like a man Gargling mouthwash (u know the sound)

who makes or how can i modify my exhaust note to be louder, but still keep that G sound that we all love but not sound like an AD for a Listerine Commercial??
Thanks GEE_MONEY

^^^sorry, but by the way u said that it sounds kinda weird, do you want your exhaust louder or not? i have no idea, but i just want to clarify for others.

if you do want it louder a couple of suggestions would be:
Headers as well has HFC otherwise known as high flow cats. both of these also improve whp a small amount on non fi.

I am also interested in this same thing, if what you really want is louder, but keep the G sound, and maybe add some power while at it. i'd also like to do this for a reasonable price, anyone?

ok, yah, that is exactly what i'm looking for as well.

from what i've learned so far, some headers will help, as well as hfc's. these will slightly alter the sound of the exhaust, but it will sound more powerful and deep aswell and obviously it will be slightly louder. You can also run test pipes which from what i understand are illegal in some states?

Well, Keep the stock exhaust and just put on HFC's or TP's.

You have several ways to change the sound of your '06, HFC's at a cost of less than $500 or you could opt for a quality good sounding dual cat-back exhaust for $1400. Headers are not worth the price since that's not where most of the restriction is.... Your choice!

couple of sound clips for you if you dont want to search... I provided what the exhaust was since I have had many. If you have any other questions let me know. I dont have any vids of my XO2 exhaust I had...(knock-off HKS) same sound though..not same quality but a good exhuast if your on a budget. I also dont have my Injen Titanium Tip Track Edition shown..that exhaust however had a great sound but alot of drone. Hope this helps.

The ones with the video reel look are the vids. just click on the image to watch.

HKS with Kinetix 300 Cell HFC's

How it looks installed. You can research how they look in general. This is the most talked about exhaust for our cars. Pretty much no drone and great sound and great agressive look.

Pardon the newbie ignorance but... can we bolt on a 350/370 Nismo catback to our coupes?

Or at least just the nismo muffler?

350z Nismo you cannot be the hanger locations are different. I believe Y PIpe is the same mid-pipe is shorter therefore hangers are in different spots. you can use the muffler but the tips will need to be extended to sit flush on the bumper.

I also think the exhaust mid pipe is a different size

370z are totally different engine, exhaust setup etc so no.
