Intake/exhaust advantages
Intake/exhaust advantages
I recently bought an 06 6mt sedan. I occasionally play up in the 6/7k rpm range but am usually below 4k rpm.
Are there any intake or exhaust mods that increase the mid-range performance or overall miles per gallon? (or both)
Most of the performance gains with these mods
appear to be in the high end of the rev range.
Is there any real advantage to change from stock?

MotorDyne 5/16 Spacer and MERV2 combo
MotorDyne Exhaust
the best of the best... expensive but worth it IMHO
Do some research and you will agree MotorDyne products are the way to go

hfc or possibly Motordynes new ART (test pipes with and added technology) will give good low-mid... also shorter final drive ring & pinion will give nice low end zip.
depending on other breather mods, the hfc or ART pipes could require tune/ecu flash to see appreciable gains (with significant other breather mods, my car was a slug when I first added hfc, after a/f was adjusted there was lots more trq.)
