Installing MREV2 and spacer on warm engine?

Is this okay? Manual says to leave car overnight to cool, but I had to go buy some Loctite and I'm busy tomorrow. Really trying to get this install out of the way this afternoon.

Anybody done this and have it turn out okay?

I assume its just a precaution so you don't burn yourself while the engine is hot, so I guess if you can avoid burning yourself, go for it.

I believe the instructions say it's for proper setting of the gaskets and torque specs. I could always go back tomorrow and retorque the plenum bolts when the engine is cold, that'll take 10 minutes.

Do it and don't worry. You'll be fine.

I think the precaution refers to the aluminum being softer when warm or hot. DO NOT overtighten the bolts, especially the center six. Use a small amount of thread lock on all of them.

I've done it several times but there was one occasion where I was unscrewing one of the stock plenum bolts and it snapped.

I think it was because the plenum was still hot.
