I'm sure it's been asked tons and tons of times and I've been through a lot of threads but I haven't gotten a clear answer. What's the best method? Some people say get to the bolt from under the hood and some people say use an "S" wrench. Some people dont even need special tools.

I already have test pipes installed and I'm selling my car tomorrow so I need to get this off and get the stock cats back on today!! When I was under the car I can easily see 2 of the bolts but the third bolt on the top is a PITA to get to. What do I do? It's aimed down so I cant get to it from under the hood and none of my tools will fit.

 

I used a bunch of socket extensions with a universal joint at the end to get the angle right. Someone had to be under the car to hold an open ended wrench and help position the socket.
