+1 Unfortunately it's true, first couple months I'd average around 17mpg around town, thinking I was pretty tough stuff, but now I make a conscious effort to drive with MPG in mind and I'm now averaging 19.5 around town. Makes for about 1 less tank a month aka 40$ in my pocket.

Forget the mpg lol, i want the power to be smokin them M3's. Opinion plzz: Plan on getting Intake manifold, plenum gasket, full cat-less exhaust, fuel injectors, and flashed for max hp gain. How does that sound to beat M3. Currently i have AEM CAI and minor weight reduction.(took out spare with tools and back seats)

you lose still. try a much larger budget and either supercharged or turbo or you stand no chance. buy a fast car next time if you want to run with m3's and the likes without heavy modification.

^+1. Either gotta be satisfied with the respectable amount of power you've already gained with bolt ons or really dig in the wallet to boost that engine.

What year is your car, and what transmission?

Staying N/A you won't need the injectors, and you might wanna consider tossing the CAI.

Also, you could beat an E36 M3, but not an E46 with those mods.

Anyone ever try the glass of water thing for gas mileage? With my normal driving, I'd have water all over the place...

I ran an e46 took me by like 6-7 cars, up to about 140mph. I sucked at shifting b/c i just got the car and it was bone stock. Idk if you guys can see the mods on my car but so i don't have to right it again (AEM CAI, minor weight reduction, 19" forged, dropped on eibach/tokiko, and Veilside lip kit.) So only two really effect the power gain. I really feel that with the upgrades i get and the right tuning on comp, i will beat it- i think g37 can beat them. By the way, am i not aloud to mention racing on the forum?

My car is slow. I can barely outrun an altima. It is fun to drive though.

My best ET was a 14.14 @ 97mph, and it took a lot of runs to get to that point.

I think it is all my stereo stuff and dynamat holding me back.
