Delete Y-back system Rasp?

Hey guys, I recently just got a y-back (Midpipe + Muffler) installed on my car .. I like it a lot. It's really deep below 2k RPM but when you push the pedal down I get a raspy kind of sound.

the midpipe is 3" and the tips is 4" in diameter. I was wondering if I added a 3" Y pipe. Would that fix the problem ?

Here's a video.

It sounds decent to me, hard to hear the rasp over the music in the video though

To reduce rasp, you'll need the Motordyne XYZ y-pipe with resonator. More power and less rasp.

Resonators cut rasp, either add one to your custom mid pipe, or pick up/build a y pipe with a resonator.

no it doesn't.

those are flex joints. A resonator is a tube looking muffler. Just drive down to your local muffler shop, tell them install a 8-10 inch magnaflow resonator on the mid pipe. it will reduce the rasp.

Also remember too that if the exhaust is new, it takes a while for break in time and rasp will reduce.
