In the past few months iv been noticing a crackling like noise when bouncing off the rev limiter in 1st and 2nd hear. At first I thought it sounded cool but now I dont think that the noise has not always been there. When the car is in park and I redline there is no noise. Is this normal or could this be the hangers being loose?

 

Why are you bouncing off the rev limiter in 1st and 2nd? How long were you holding it on there for?

 

Actually I hear it right when I am about to bounce off the limiter, I was bouncing off it to recreate the noise so I could hear it better.
I forgot to mention the crackling noise is coming from my exhaust.

 

Crackling may be rasp/backfire. Could you be more specific on the sound.

 

Actually yea rasp is the best way to describe it , its not backfire

 

its weird because my entire exhaust setup is stock
but I have KN air filter and stillen ztube

 

Well rasp is normal. Unless you blew out a cat I don't see the noise as a worry. I mean, what your doing is bound to cause problems if your continuously do it. Did your cel light turn on?

 

Nope never seen any lights
It does sound nice and I will refrain from bouncing off the limiter
