You might smell some unburnt fuel occasionally if the car is just sitting idling, but if you are seeing bluish smoke and smelling burnt oil thats not necessarily due to the test pipes themselves.

Could be the glass packing in the resonators burning... It usually goes away after you break them in

Any CEL light with your Test Pipes? Did you have to use Spark Plug fouler?

I don't know about anyone else, but I have had my test pipes on with the non-fouler trick for about 10K miles, and I have never gotten a CEL from it (actually, I've never gotten a CEL for anything in this car since I've owned it in the last 3 years).

If your tp's are used You obviously shouldn't get smoke...
Rasp yes... Smoke no.. LOL. When rockin brand new tp's it may smoke up slightly in the beginning.
Just as a brand new cat back smokes up... due to the glass pack the manufactures use. Its all normal.
Goes away after it settles. If the smell is hella bad than stop cranking it. Get a second opinion. Its easy for a
clueless mechanic to just say it your tp's. But did you ask why? Anyways.. Hope everything works out. Good luck bro..
