Question OEM exhaust tip installation

Hi I'm new here - just got a 2007 G35s. It has one of the exhaust tips missing and the dealer shipped me an OEM replacement which I just got today. It appears its supposed to just slide on with a tight fit - no bolts, clamps or clips. However its a tight fit and I don't want to mangle it. Any help, recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks!

OEM exhaust tip install

I was able to install by tapping the tip hard with a rubber mallet against a piece of wood board to prevent denting and scratching. It's a pressed fitting on the sedans. Thank you all for responding - this site is great, lots of good of good info.
