So as we all know, aftermarket exhaust is louder than stock but if you have enough $$, you can buy a set up that will keep noise level in and out of cabin at its lowest. Well what if you don't have that kind of money like me . I've spent quite a bit on this exhaust set up (Top Speed headers, Kinitex HFC, 350z hr-y pipe, RSR GT2 catback), but the in-cabin vibration is just too much. I thought this was as quiet as possible b/c 1- the y pipe is OEM which should be quieter than the after market 3" ones 2- I Installed larger Resonator on my cat-back 3- At least I have HFC and no Test Pipes. What more can I do?? Anyone smart enough to think of a cheaper solution than buying another exhaust system?? What I plan on doing is installing dynamat throughout the vehicle except the roof. Also, I bought exhaust wrap hoping it will absorb some vibration. For the most part its just the vibration that kills, maybe different exhaust clamps??? SOMEONE, think creative and outside the box- there's got to be a solution.
Yes, I searched but all the answers are to buy new exhaust parts.

Sounds like swapping pieces with OEM until you get it to where you like would be the best option. I don't know what all aftermarket components are available that will reduce the sound of your exhaust.

You can have a shop weld in another resonator. Or you can try using a Magnaflow resonated X pipe. X pipe depends on whether or not your setup is true dual. Hope this helps!

I don't have a true dual and as for the resonator, I have a pretty big one on the catback and I can't really put any bigger. What about the y-pipe, maybe its possible to resonate that??
