mrev2 and 5/16th spacer on non revup?
on my 03 g35 enthusiast would it give me better gains going with the mrev2 and 5/16th spacer instead of mrev+?
I just can't see why it wouldn't. Seems like i could get a big gain from it. but I don't know enough about it aside from reading about the gains on a revup motor.
if I'm just being stupid thinking about this then just tell me. I won't be offended.

The mrev2 is a non-revup lower plenum, only difference is the front two runners are shaved down to allow more air to access the front 2 cylinders. Eventhough you will not see as big a gain as rev-up's do, there will be a gain. I guess you are trying to squeeze every pony out of this n/a engine.

not really trying to get every little bit, but not wanting to do something in a way where it makes 5hp less than another way.
what would be the most effective lower plenum/ spacer combination for making power. Also, what would be the gains of said combination on an 03mt6 g35. I read the stickies. I might not be getting everything I supposed to from it though.

ok. after more research, I'm just getting a spacer with the thermal isolating option. only 2-4 hp gain for mrev2 from what I was reading. I'd do headers before that. Just doesn't make near as much sense to do that.
btw. is the difference between revup and non revup the heads and cams? or is it cams and oil passages? I'm kinda lost trying to figure that out. just seems like people treat it like another motor completely.

well that doesn't work for me because I don't have the stock air box to use the top from or anything. I'd really prefer using something like the stock box with a ztube ect. I just don't like the cold air kits for these cars. is there a way I could order that whole setup? I just want a stock style setup with a K&N filter that revup box and a z-tuber

yeah i know. seems that after you have the cat back and cold air kit there's not much to gain with aside from spacer and headers and the headers aren't much. I am just thinking about what I want to do though. I'm not gonna go FI on this car. I have a camaro z28 i'm building with more nitrous than this car has horsepower from the factory.

You could do this:

Also, I strongly recommend going back to the OEM intake setup with the Revup airbox. There are no gains to be had with an aftermarket intake, only losses.
