Rasp problem

I currently have BERK HFC and and INVIDIA Q300 exhaust on my 07 sedan. Yes I know Im in the wrong section but more people look here and its a general exhaust question anyway. So, I have the original version of the exhaust so it does not have the updates (resonators). I asked around and to get the new part it would be about $450 plus I have an x so modding it would be even more. It rasps really bad between 2200 and 3500 RPM along with the Hiss from the HFC but Im not ready to make my car more illegal with test pipes. So to cut down on the rasp I think I am going to have some resonators welded in. Can anyone recommend some nice ones that are not to pricey? I don't want to silence the exhaust, In fact I love the volume of it rite now, I just want to cut out the buzzing rasp sound. Thanks!

I had a bad rasp problem with HFC Stillen catback combo and I was really scratching my head because Stillen was supposed to have a real throaty note to it. I was going the same route you were, exploring different resonators and was just about to pull the trigger on it when I took it into an exhaust shop just to take a look at it. Turned out my exhaust was leaking at several points where the clamps were loose. You could see very prominent signs of it around the joints.

Anyway, the shop welded those joints and the problem just about disappeared. The remainder was enough to suggest performance upgrades but the WOT note was awesome... there was a slightly rigid note during more mild acceleration- but nothing too bothersome.

Different components but sounds like we had the same problem. Maybe take a closer look?

I will definitely do that and thanks for the help. In this case though, the first gen invidia exhaust was known for rasp because it goes cats>x pipe with small crossover> mufflers So I think adding some nice resonators will make it deeper. That is if there are no leaks causing it. I just have no clue which type or brand to use and how big etc.. I Still want my exhaust to be loud and deep just not sound like a civic from 1989 with 13 holes poked in the muffler after 2200 RPM lol.
