Most popular choice for intake is JWT Pop Charger w/ Z-tube. The G35 does not have big gains when it comes to intakes. If you are looking for more power for your money, go with the motordyne plenum spacer & Mrev2. As for chips, not sure if there are any for the G35.

^^^ thats sarcasm. Search for chips on here and read what people have to say about them. Basically you will find out they are a waste of money and dont really do anything for our cars.

Plenum Spacer will add more power than an intake.... I still did both tho

Definitely consider getting a plenum spacer, that give you more power than an intake would.

The OEM intake performs very well. Check out this thread prior to buying any intake: https://g35driver.com/forums/intake-...s-results.html

Good info so far.
If u really want to change up the intake just get a z tube and call it a day.
No real appreciable gains in aftermarket intakes unless combined with a grip of other mods.

Dyno tune, Berk high flow cats, 5/16 spacer, lower base plenum and throttle body warmer shut off, Z tube and this will get you done good. You know that the throttle is limited to 80% right? When you get a tune they can take that off, so when you floor it you really floor it.

Im pretty sure if you get an intake and get a tune you wont be losing power... Correct me if Im wrong fellas...

I know if you get a aftermarket intake without a tune then you lose power..

Most intakes, you do gain power... top end. But, you end up losing a substantial amount of low end in exchange. Our stock intakes (+ztube/maybe filter) are very well engineered and many times shown to be the best for usable performance.

You will loose low end with the 1/2" spacer and gain on top. This subject is going to go on and on and on, but most of what is posted here today is good, I am not a fan of the chips and I will back this up when I take my car to the Dyno next week. I will ask my buddy about the chips, he is very good, he is "the one you go to if you want to go fast" I have learned that many people can work on a car but not that many do it well. I research everything I do, if it is not going to produce a marked difference then it ain"t going on the car! You all hear about the adds about this or that being the latest and greatest. Remember if it sounds too good to be true it usually is. There are two ways to go on cars, like mine, nice and mild but goes well, and then you can go all out and be married to the car and always have to play with it, maybe that's good for you and there's nothing wrong with it, we all need a hobby and more power to you if you can afford to buy and make it all come together.

i think you are confused. the MD 1/2 spacer shows gains from 2k rpm and never shows a loss of power.

I go by the facts

I have seen many posts that the 1/2 has no benefits for low end, that's why I said what I said.

I have seen many posts stating that the 1/2 is for higher RPM that's why I have a 5/16 in my car, if I saw posts to back up what you say I would have installed one.
