I will be purchasing a g35 coupe soon, and was wondering if you guys could recommend a cat-back exhaust system (to be upgraded later to full custom) that doesn't sound rice-tastic. I've been told Borla was a good sounding system with good hp gains, but I am really, really inexperienced with v6's. Any help and/or opinions would be greatly appreciated.

i hate to so this, but there is a lot of information in this section about exhausts, and the personal preferences of each person who has them. there are plenty of comparisons of power, appearence, looks, sound, quality, price, ease of diy capability. the same goes for headers, cats, y-pipes, and everything else dealing with the exhaust. i don't like not being able to answer a question. but if i did, i'd be doing all of the searching on this website to get you the info, that you could be doing yourself. you don't have to use the search function, just scroll a few (2-8) pages, and read the topics.

Littlewing, i have hear the borla in person, for the money and minor HP gains that you are gonna get from a catback, the borla is a good choice, i think you can get it for like $650 at EverythingG35.com. Many G drivers including myself also like the looks of the INjen SES, the dual angled canisters hanging in the back make the car look meaner than any other on the road. Although i havnt heard the Injen , i will prolly drop 850 on it just for looks, couldnt sound that bad for that price. Anyways just my opinions, believe me, ive been looking for the right exhaust for quite some time, good luck with your fianl decision.
