Is the only way to install by welding it on?

Are the part numbers 11386 or 14386?
It's not a muffler, it is an xpipe. You just take it to your muffler shop and have them weld it on, should be fairly cheap and fast.

It does resemble the look of a muffler correct? So im assuming that just makes it a resonated xpipe?

Where does it go on the system setup? I think i'm confusing the H pipe and the Y pipe of the X02 exhaust. Are these one in the same and make up one piece?

sorry for the multitude of questions.

I thought it's essentially a muffler with an xpipe in it.

The resonated one is a muffler... I have it. It's the only muffler on my car and it went from deafening loud to nice & loud. So yes, it's a muffler.

Yeah that's what I figured, and that's the more popular option of doing the x-pipe on the x02 instead of the unresonated one.

just depends on what people consider a "muffler", it is a muffler but not in the way that many people tend to refer to a muffler.

Thanks to all. I just ordered the 'muffler' version and will basically just have them replace the resonated pipes of the X02.

You're supposed to replace the H-Pipe portion of the exhaust with it, not the resonators.

Ok. I apologize for my confusion but i thought that the resonators are the two raised tubes side by side right after the Y flex pipe?

Here is what i thought were the 'resonators':

The magnaflow X-pipe will replace both the H-pipe and the resonators. The X-pipe, depending on which one you get, will be resonated. Everyone here is talking about the 11386 part number. It has 2.5" piping, dual inlets and outlets. There is an non resonated X-pipe that looks similar to the ARK design on theirs and you would do the same as they did, just replacing the H-pipe section and keeping the resonators. The bad thing about these cheap knock-offs is that the resonators are crap so I would suggest buying the resonated version and if its to raspy or droning add resonators further down later in the piping.

I think i have it down now. The H pipe is the cheap 'crossover' on the X02. I ordered the 14386 so they will need to chop off both the H pipe and the resonators?

From what i've read if you do the mod above it will still significantly reduce the drone correct?

Correct, it will reduce the drone and if you have test pipes it eliminates most of the rasp. The sound should be a lil deeper and you might feel a lil butt dyno improvement, not much.
