Could G37 Dual Intake Be Retrofitted For A G35?
Title says it all. I searched but due to the abstract nature of the question I couldn't find anything if this has already been discussed. I love the look of the dual intakes on the HR motors. Being a total layman I have no clue if its even feasible though. I know the biggest issue would be retrofitting the plenum if not having to fab a new one completely, as well as addressing the dual throttle bodies on a motor designed for one.
If not a retrofit, what about ditching the HR intakes, custom forming an upper plenum with a the G35 single throttle body at the 12 o'clock position, with a Y-connection for two intake pipes that would emulate the HR design?
I'm not looking for major performance improvements as much as the cool factor of doing something different.

To answer your question, there have been quite a few custom manifolds made. I do remember a few with the throttle body at the 6 o'clock position but not 12. I'm sure the guys at Kustomz Unlimited here in Dallas can make one. They've made some custom manifolds before.
